Todo es Bien ! (It's AllGood !)
2001 was our first full year in business, at the AllGood Cafe. Previously, Live Music had been scheduled irregularly and met with varying degrees of success (meaning #s in attendance). In January 2001, we started our Thursday Nite Songwriter Series - featuring some of the BEST Singer/Songwriters from Texas and beyond. On the weekends, we feature both Local, State and National Acts, usually stripping down to more "acoustic" sets, better suited to our intimate Cafe setting. Some of the more recognizable names to have appeared at the AllGood Cafe: Butch Hancock, Stacey Earle, Toni Price, Tom Russell, Greg Trooper, David Olney, Gail Davies, Mary Cutrufello, Trish Murphy, Sara Hickman, Slobberbone, Eleven Hundred Springs, Max Stalling, and more.
In addition to our songwriter series, we started the bi-weekly "Friday Freak Show" featuring Kenny Withrow and friends. Kenny is the longtime Lead Guitar/Songwriter of the New Bohemians, and his every-other-Friday gig at the AllGood Cafe usually features most of the Original New Bohemians - Brandon Aly, John Bush, Brad Houser and latest New Bo - Carter Albrecht. Edie Brickell is expected to join the 'boys' on the occasions she is in town.
You may wonder - "How could it possibly get any better that THAT ? !!!" - is it at all possible ???!!!
