JIMBO MATHUS & The Tri State Coalition
Late Memphis producer Jim Dickinson once called Jimbo Mathus "the singing voice of Huck Finn." Outside the South, Mathus is likely known as the ringleader of the hyper-ragtime outfit Squirrel Nut Zippers. Mathus has performed and recorded with the North Mississippi All Stars and with Luther Dickinson and Alvin Youngblood Hart formed the South Memphis Jug Band that was nominated for a Handy Blues Award. Jimbo's latest band, The Tri-State Coalition, features solid talent cut from the same Delta cloth and sounds like ... " a true Southern amalgam of blues, white country, soul and rock-n-roll. if you don't like this, there's something wrong with you."
DOORS: 7PM SHOW 8PM ~ $10 Advance. $10 At the Door.

GREEZY WHEELS
One of the greatest bands you never heard in your life, unless you live in Austin or New York City, as they've played there too. GREEZY WHEELS is led by Cleve Hattersley and his incredibly talented wife, Sweet Mary, along with Cleve's sister Lissa. A more creative trio you'll never find. Formed in the '70s, the WHEELS were the house band for the infamous Armadillo World Headquarters and headlined or opened first Austin gigs for everyone from the Flying Burrito Bros. to Frank Zappa. They practically owned the stage at the legendary Lone Star Cafe in New York City. Then, the hiatus began. It wasn't supposed to last 25 years.

They don't come any more talented than this "Guy" right here. Though we first experienced his chops with the multi-member Asylum Street Spankers, Guy Forsyth as a solo artist has become a force to be reckoned with. Anybody that claims to enjoy music, performed live - in person - up close and personal, you won't be sorry.
