Each year, Butch Hancock hosts his Annual TOWNES VAN ZANDT BIRTHDAY PARTY & TRIBUTE at the venerable Cactus Cafe in Austin on the UT campus, the sight of many Townes shows through his lifetime. This show features Butch covering many Townes classics as well as a small army of fellow Austin-area singers and songwriters paying tribute to the one many claim to be the Greatest Songwriter in Texas, if not America.

On the following night, Thursday March 8, in conjunction with our Butch Hancock Monthly Residency, we will also celebrate and sing the Songs of Townes Van Zandt here at the AllGood Cafe. Butch has promised to bring some friends from Austin (hmmm .. wonder who might he bring?) and we've invited some of our favorite local acts who also love the Late Great Townes Van Zandt, to do a song or two, including:
